3rd week is the charm.

This week flew by! I got to work on Monday and found out that I will be teaching preschool for the time being. I had so much fun this week getting to know the kids, and getting to be creative in making centers and lessons for the children.   Ryan met Mashelle, Rick, Rand, and Nick at Arlington Cemetery on Thursday afternoon and had a great time hanging out with them for a little while. Also, Ryan and I have been married for two months as of Friday, so we went to Georgetown and had dinner at Tackle Box. The food was delicious and a great environment. It was so fun walking around Georgetown and just hanging out there. It is a beautiful area of DC, and had some great shopping for when our friends/ families come to visit.
Then Saturday we went to the farmer's market and got our herbs and a raspberry plant! We are so excited to start our tiny garden on our porch. There is basil, cilantro, chocolate mint, and rosemary. We are supposed to have some raspberries by the end of August! It will be a good little hobby to have.

After we went to the farmer's market we just hung out and cleaned the apartment.  Saturday evening we went to Hank's oyster bar with Mashelle, Rick, Rand and Nick. It was delicious! Some of the best oysters Ryan and I had ever had. It was fun getting to see them and hang out with them while they were here.  This morning we slept in and just laid around because I have felt a little under the weather since Friday evening. But we had to go to the grocery store to get stuff for this week's meals.  I made us some tuna salad, blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies for the week! But exciting news, the apartment is basically complete! So here are some pictures so everyone can see our "home sweet home".

Hooray for being moved in! There are only a few more touches to do and then it will be all done! We miss our friends and family but are loving it here so far. We don't have much planned for this week, but will update you next weekend! So until next time...

Cheers! :)
